An Old Standby for Cinco de Mayo & Drinks By the Pool!
If you're in charge of making drinks this summer, I've got the perfect margarita recipe for you.
Dubbed "Erin's Lethal Margarita Recipe" by friends and family, it's the kind of drink that leaves guests testing bark collars on their own human skin.
Note: This recipe was originally adopted from AllRecipes.com. I'm going to clarify exactly what proportions work for me when mixing the ice and lime juice, as I've experimented with the guidelines over the years.
There's nothing worse than a "soupy" margarita!
Ingredients (Makes 1 Pitcher or 5 servings):
Ice (I usually buy a 10-lb bag from the grocery store)
8 oz. Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila (I've tried other tequilas and nothing compares to Jose)
6 oz. Triple Sec
Frozen Limeade Juice Concentrate
Salt
Limes
Mint sprigs
Directions:
- Fill your blender all the way up to the top with ice.
- Add 1/2 of your limeade concentrate
- Add Jose and Triple Sec
- Blend
- Serve in a salt-rimmed glass. Add lime wedge and sprig of mint.
...And enjoy!
Throw in some Gypsy Kings and you've got yourself a party.
Give it a try and see how it stacks up!
