Bewitch your senses and elevate your next Halloween Party with these frightfully yummy appletinis
Once upon a time Snow White lived in the Big Apple.
She enjoyed nights on the town sipping overly priced drinks and fending off advances from at least 7 men much shorter than her.
Little rats squeaked in song as she clicked her heels together on the subway platform. She threw a penny into the wishing well of a homeless person asking for spare change, and she wondered what her fate would be.
One day, poor Snow met her future husband and fell into a trance. Her days of careless freedom were numbered. Eventually, after many days and nights caring for hungry babies, she lapsed into a coma.
Not even true love’s kiss could break the spell.
Growing desperate, Prince Charming held a potion to her lips. One whiff of the elixir, and her eyes began to move. Suddenly, in a flash of light, Snow White got her sexy back.
If you too are feeling the effects of motherhood/pandemic isolation, then these apple martini options are just for you.
The first cocktail recipe is dangerously delicious and offers a caramel twist on the traditional sour apple martini. It reminds me of my carefree days as a 20-something living in NYC. The other two recipes are equally yummy.
Without further ado, here are three wickedly delicious apple martini recipes.

Apple Martini Option #1: The Poisoned Apple
The Poisoned Apple contains ingredients found in the classic "appletini" plus added hints of caramel. One teaspoon of caramel syrup is more than enough to achieve the notes this drink is striving for; anything beyond that gives the drink a sticky-sweet, artificial flavor. For best results, skip the sugar-free syrup and go full bore with your caramel syrup. I used a classic caramel syrup from Torani.
For added effect, include black covered apples for guests to snack on. Our grocery store didn't carry black food coloring, so I had to come up with my own recipe using dark cocoa powder (see below).
Fun fact: if you add green food coloring immediately after pouring your chilled cocktail, the drops will freeze upon contact and look like droplets of goo. As they start to melt, they turn into teardrops resembling tadpoles.
In addition to poison apples and fake cobwebs, kick the party atmosphere up a notch by including a few creepy wine cork spiders.
Apple Martini Option #2: The Candied Apple
This whiskey drink reminds me of Sour Patch Kids candy treats -- sweet on the outside, sour on the inside. I used apple whiskey and a touch of apple cider to sweeten the deal. Much like a whisky sour, the Candied Apple Martini leans on sharp citrus notes to keep it balanced.
Apple Martini Option #3: The Cran-Apple Harvest
I saved the best for last. There's nothing like apple brandy to make a girl feel special. This recipe works either warm or chilled depending on your mood. Sipping on a hot toddy by the campfire is one of my favorite things to do when the temperature drops!
Throw in a cinnamon stick and a touch of honey if you're planning to heat things up.
