Black Poison Caramel Apple

A sweet treat to complement your Poison Apple Martini

  • 2 tbsp dark corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 2-3 cups dark candy (crushed oreos, black sprinkles)
  • 1 skewer stick


  • Mix the corn syrup, water, and sugar in a saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a boil. Allow mixture to bubble for approx. 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to overheat. 
  • Add heavy cream, vanilla, and salt to saucepan. Mix well. 
  • Add cocoa powder and food coloring to pan. Dip your apples in the mixture using a skewer stick. Allow excess to drip back into pan for 10-15 seconds. Roll apple in black sprinkles or crushed Oreos. 
  • Place coated apples on a cookie sheet with wax paper. Chill in refrigerator one hour prior to serving. Can be made up to a day in advance.
